Opera Kardashian features a trans operatic role (Caitlyn Jenner) written exclusively for performance by trans-identifying/transfeminine vocalists.

The opera received a workshop reading by Frost Opera Theater, Ensemble Ibis, and conductor Alan Johnson at University of Miami Frost School of Music in April 2018. It was also a Finalist in Hartford Opera Theater’s “New in November 10” festival, where Scene 2 from the opera was staged in November 2019.
